Robert Martin

Robert has extensive iwi governance and management experience working predominantly alongside our iwi leadership of Mōkai Pātea. He believes strongly in effective decision-making, transparency, being open to learning, taking responsibility and being accountable. He has a real passion for our iwi of Mōkai Pātea to support the long-term growth and sustainability of our people, through sound, prudent and workable solutions that are enduring and of high value.
In the Taiao space, he chairs the iwi collective of Ngā Puna Rau o Rangitīkei, having actively supported the key work programmes over the past eight years of its existence. As the General Manager for Rauhuia Environmental Services, he supports Mōkai Pātea iwi in conducting resource consents and consulting with various stakeholders seeking engagement on environmental matters within the rohe boundaries.

Reece’s career has given him experience and expertise in both local and central government, and he has held roles with the Bay of Plenty Regional Council, the Parliamentary Commissioner for the Environment, the Ministry for the Environment, the Treasury, and Te Puni Kōkiri. In 2013, Reece started his own consultancy business and has worked with various local councils, government departments, iwi, and research institutes.
Reece is an advisor and a programme manager to the Ngā Puna Rau o Rangitīkei collective and brings skills and experience in environmental management, working across local and central government, and project management. Reece has been a trusted advisor to the collective since the inception of Ngā Puna Rau o Rangitīkei.

Aarona McGregor

In 2020, Aarona was seconded to Ngā Puna Rau o Rangitīkei to support its development and has enjoyed working with the people since his involvement in this space began in 2019. His primary goal is to assist the iwi of Ngā Puna Rau o Rangitīkei to in building a strong, flourishing business foundation, enabling them to exercise their rights as mana whenua.
